这两个词都有“海湾”的意思。其区别在于:

1.在含义上，gulf指比bay大的海湾,其湾的开口要比bay的湾口要狭窄些。

2.在用法上，gulf前一般要用冠词; 而bay前一般不用冠词,但后面带of短语时,必须加冠词。
