英语基本知识及做题技巧总结
一、音标及单词读记 48个国际音标
20个元音,其中五个长元音,七个短元音,八个双元音
28个辅音,11对清浊辅音,6个单独辅音。其中对应的清辅音和浊辅音发音部位一致,清辅音声带不震动,浊辅音声带不震动。 单词的读记都需要依据音标,把一个单词根据音标分成几个部分来识记会使单词背起来比较轻松,同时可以避免拼写的错误。如大家经常写错的secret,它发/si:krit/这个音,se发/si:/,c发/k/,ret发/rit/这个音,这样一记就不会把c和r写反了。
同时,记一个单词不仅仅是要记这个单词本身,还要记这个单词用法及它的变形,包括它的名词形式、动词形式、形容词形式以及副词形式,考试中考察的不仅仅是单词,它在句子中填词,所以要了解单词的词性变化,以及动词的过去时,过去分词等。
二、句法及翻译
英语跟语文一样,都是一种语言。最基本的是单词,单词组成短语词组,然后组成句子,句子组成段落文章。所以学英语最重要的是读记单词,知道单词的用法(包括组成词组、固定搭配等);这之外最重要的就是句法了,句法使零散的词组聚集成一个表达完整的句子。无论是做阅读还是选择还是填词题,都需要把语句的意思弄懂,只有这个句子的成分弄清楚后,这个句子的翻译才会做得很好。
一个句子的主干是“主语+谓语+宾语”,其中最重要的成分就是谓语了,一个句子有且仅有一个谓语,谓语一般由动词充当(注意doing不是谓语),所以看一个句子最先找它的动词,然后再找这个动作的主语和宾语,剩下的话就是句子的枝干部分,像定语、状语等,再根据汉语的语法安排先后顺序使翻译通顺得体;如果遇到比较复杂的句子,若有两个动词,那么肯定有一个动词是主句的谓语,另一个是从句中的谓语,把从句的结构弄清楚也有助于翻译整句话。
除了找句子的谓语外,一些固定搭配的词组也是翻译文章的关键,例如:too„„to„„,mistake„„for„„,把这些固定词组翻译出来,那么整个句子就差不多翻译好了。
三、填词
填词题考察的不仅仅是单词该怎么拼写,还考察时态,词性变换等综合问题。首先要读完整个句子,弄清要填的词的词义,其次弄清要填词的词性,看是否需要进行词性变换。填名词时需要判断单复数;填动词时需要注意判断时态以及是否用动词不定式或动名词形式;填形容词、副词时则需要注意是否需要填比较级或最高级。 四、选择题
一张卷子10道选择题,大部分都是考察固定的词组,所以需要把每个单元的词组短语牢牢记住;还有些重要的语法点,如感叹句、宾语从句、提建议的问与答等„„这些题与填词题、完成句子一起都是考察对所学课本知识的掌握情况,只要平时努力背记,这些题目会在很短时间内取得大的进步。 五、完形填空
完形填空需要把整篇文章都弄清很明白,所以对翻译能力考察很高。
完型填空10道题,一般会考察词义和语法两方面。其中考察词义的题会占七八个,这需要
句子翻译的很准确,对每个选项的含义以及它们的区别比较了解;这其中会有不少题会考察连接词,如and/but/or/then/so/however/although等,需要对前一句内容与后一句内容之间的逻辑关系进行分析,是转折还是承接还是反之还是假设„„对应着不同的连接词。 考察语法的题则需要平时积累些固定搭配,如:to my surprise 令我惊奇的是;care about 在乎,spend time doing sth/on sth „„ 做完型填空的时候,你不可能一下子就把正确答案选出来。有些题你第一遍读的时候并不能确定到底该选什么,这时不要仓促作出决定,先把肯定不可能的选项排除掉,剩下两到三个可能的选项,通读整篇文段后,你会对文章的大意有个整体把握,然后联系上下文意思在剩下的几个选项中斟酌选出最合适的答案。
所以做完形填空建议把文章读两遍,第一遍把比较容易看出的空选掉,弄懂大意。第二遍再精读,把不确定的题重新根据语义或固定结构做出。 六、阅读理解
初中阅读理解的文章思路一般都非常清晰,大多会在第一段就把中心句点出来,然后下面几段话分条叙述。所以建议先读完第一段话,把握文章的中心思想后开始读题,会有两三道原文查找的题目,而且题号靠前的题目一般在文章的前半段找到原文,题号靠后的题目会在后半段找到原文,这种题就考察你的快速阅读能力(也就是找关键词的能力),相对来说比较简单。还会有猜词义的题目,这个需要把词所在的前后句精读一遍;此外还有概括文章主旨的题目,这个一般能在第一段看出端倪,注意一定要选最合适的选项,如果有两个选项不确定,就想想哪个是作者更想表达的内容,这种题就比较难,需要多读文章获得经验;还会有一种题叫”which statement is not right?”这个需要把四个选项都进行原文查找,判断时一定要忠实于原文,不要随便的主观臆断。 七、作文
作文分成两块讲吧。一是文章的结构,它相当于楼房的梁和柱,撑起了整篇文章。一篇文章的好坏首先在于你的条理是否清晰,开头结尾是否简洁明了,是否切入主题;正文是否逻辑严谨,衔接顺畅。所以,我再三强调写作文要先打好提纲,怎么入题,怎么分条叙述,句与句之间怎么衔接,怎么结尾„„都要打好草稿后开始动笔。
二是语句的通顺,一句话有且仅有一个谓语,大家写作文的时候一定要注意这点,不要写完一句话一个动词都没有,也不要出现三四个动词,这些都不符合语法规则。另外,很多语句都是按照中文的顺序直译过来的,英文的语句顺序跟中文还是有很大区别的。平时多积累些高级点儿的句式,如there be 句型;it’s +adj+(for sb)+to do sth;还有些宾语从句、状语从句等,如:not„„until„„,I wonder whether„„都会使句子既通顺又出彩。除此之外,连接词的使用也很重要,如:in my opinion 在我看来; according to my knowledge据我所知 ;to begin with首先; as far as I know据我所知; as a result 结果是; to the end最后„„都会让上下文连接自然得体。
